A FORMER Governor of Gibraltar was the guest speaker at a celebration evening at Gordano School in Portishead.
The event organised to celebrate this year’s GCSE results saw Lieutenant General Sir Robert Felton give an inspirational speech focusing on past, present and future. He encouraged the audience to focus on their goals and never give up.
Erica Marshall, now a year 12 pupil, said: “Sir Robert really made me realise how important it is to have ambitions and to follow them through.”
Trophies and awards were presented to pupils throughout the evening. The 2013 Outstanding Achievements award went to both Amy Tang and Amy Warrellow who between them collected 22 A* and 3 A grade GCSEs.
