FOOD was used in a whole host of lessons during St Katherine’s School’s food festival.
The Pill school held the festival to encourage pupils to learn more about the ingredients and produce available around the world and how they can be used.
Food was used across the curriculum with tapas tasting in Spanish classes, canaps in French lessons, the science faculty making ice cream with liquid nitrogen and geography classes using spaghetti and marshmallows to build earthquake-proof buildings.
There were also guest chefs, cookery workshops, curry classes and healthy eating demonstrations.
