HOSES, helmets and a shiny red fire engine led to a great deal of excitement among pupils at a Portishead school.
Firefighters paid a visit to the reception classes at St Peter’s Primary School to talk about fire safety in the home.
A school spokesman said: “There was a lot of excitement over our important visitors but the children listened carefully and took part in discussions about what to do in case of a fire. It was a fantastic way to get a very serious message across.”
