BUDDING engineers and scientists were inspired by flammable experiments and high-tech robotics at a special event at Nailsea School.
The school held a science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) showcase to demonstrate the different careers pupils can move into.
GE Oil and Gas, Airbus, Dyson, GKN Aerospace, Nylapas Engineering, the British Engineering Manufacturer’s Association and Neuro psychologists from the University of the West of England put on exciting experiments and demonstrations during the night to inspire pupils.
Ex-students from Nailsea School who have taken up jobs at GKN Aerospace and Dyson also talked to pupils and parents about their experiences since leaving school.
The aim of the event was to raise awareness of the importance of STEM subjects and to promote the career opportunities available in those fields.
