Inquisitive students enjoyed experimenting with gadgets and chemicals at a school open day.
Nailsea School put on its annual science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) evening to enable children to find out more about the subjects.
Families were able to meet industry experts and find out about the different careers on offer.
Pupils enjoyed a live laboratory show before taking part in a range of hands-on activities.
Ms Allright, technology curriculum leader at the school, said: “There’s a lot to get excited about in the STEM industries, and this event helps to showcase some of those exciting opportunities.”
