Students at a Pill school have been learning about a life in engineering.
Year eight students at St Katherine’s School, Pill, were treated to a presentation from Leanne Gunn of Tomorrow’s Engineers as part of their STEM week.
The presentation looked at how engineering is used in all aspects of life including travel, medical advances, communication and even the construction of earthquake-proof buildings.
Representatives from Tomorrow’s Engineers ran workshops during the science, technology, engineering and maths week (STEM) to inspire pupils in their studies and show them what career opportunities are available in the field.
The engineers all commented on how engaged and enthused they found the year eight students.
