Eco fashion show

YOUNG fashionistas with a mind for the environment put on their very own fashion show in Nailsea.
Year five children at Golden Valley Primary School adapted old clothing, customising and adding accessories in teams to create stunning, recycled outfits.
On April 6, they staged the show with each child taking a role, either as a model, commentator, crew member, technician, retailer or as part of the welcome party.
Parents and relatives went along to the event, which was organised as part of the children’s Wipe Out Waste project.
As a final twist to the show, two children appeared on stage dressed a wedding couple to mark the fact their teacher, Miss Baylis, will be getting married during the Easter holiday.
The bride wore a dress made from white refuse sacks and newspaper pleats and the groom wore a customised cricket strip as Miss Baylis’ fiance is a keen cricket fan.
