More than 90 pupils from Portishead’s High Down Junior School had the chance to take part in Earth Keeper training at the Tyntesfield estate in Wraxall.
The three classes spent three days in the woodland and sawmill, learning about how they can become better connected to the Earth and how important it is to make an effort to protect the natural environment.
The National Trust estate proved an excellent classroom for the youngsters whose challenge now is to pass on their knowledge to friends and family so they complete their training and become full Earth Keepers.
