JAPANESE kites, Guatemalan worry dolls and Sri Lankan coconut craft were among items with an international flavour created by students at Backwell School.
Students immersed themselves in activities such as Brazilian Capoeira, African music and dance and Chinese festivals during a variety of workshops held on a recent breakout day.
Breakout co-ordinator Claire Turner said: “The day encouraged students to transfer the skills and techniques used around the world to their own interpretation.
“It was hoped that students would engage in the opportunities to work as a team, develop their creative ideas and participate as an individual and within a group.”
