Schoolchildren from Pill have been doing their bit for the environment by going on a beach clean.
The youngsters from Crockerne Primary School, in Westward Drive, have been learning about plastic waste.
The children took part in a beach clean in Portishead, and then set up an information station where they gave out leaflets they made and sold up-cycled products.
The money was donated to beach cleaning projects.
The Times has launched a Cleaner Coastlines campaign to secure plastic-free coastline status for Clevedon and Portishead.

It involves businesses removing single-use plastics, such as straws and condiment sachets, and community groups promoting alternatives.
More and more plastic is being dumped in the oceans and it is harming marine life.
