YEAR three and four children at Crockerne Primary School in Pill have learnt about producing food as part of a partnership between the school and the National Trust at Tyntesfield.
Youngsters have visited the Wraxall site to grown their own fruit and vegetables in the kitchen garden and recently took part in a cookery masterclass with sous chef James Blakemore. He showed them how to create some tasty dishes using the produce they had grown.
The Guardianship 2012 partnership has been supported by The Bristol Port Company and also saw children visit the port to learn about the importation of fertilise and its importance in food production.
