CHILDREN in Portbury have developed their very own conservation area at the village school.
Youngsters at St Mary’s Primary School have worked with an environmental expert to create a pond, seating area and an impressive teepee made from hazel and clay.
The teepee is used for story telling and it is now hoped the area will become a flourishing habitat for wildlife, providing a great resource for outdoor learning.
