Library set for packed summer schedule

A village library will host an exciting schedule of summer holiday activities to keep children entertained.

Congresbury Community Library, in Station Road, has planned a quartet of children’s craft classes to teach youngsters some new skills over the school break.

Congresbury Parish Council took control of the library last year, and has since placed an emphasis on hosting a range of activities to keep the facility busy.

On July 30, a Beano-inspired class will teach the crafty kids how to make a clay Gnasher.

Superhero placemats will be made on will be made on August 6, and children will learn how to make frightening fridge magnets on August 13.

The final class is due to take place on August 20, teaching youngsters how to grow Dennis The Menace cress heads.

All classes will run from 2.30-4.30pm.
