A SCHOOL gardening club will be able buy a new greenhouse thanks to a grant from Wessex Water.
Backwell School has been given £550 toward the cost of the new structure which will be used to teach pupils more about growing plants.
The school’s gardening club meets one lunchtime each week and manages on a small budget thanks to donations of tools and seeds from the local community.
Enrichment and community coordinator, Marie Davis, said: “Gardening is a sociable activity and some of our students are becoming increasingly more confident with their new horticultural skills.”
