A former Clevedon School student is returning to inspire pupils at a careers event.

Clevedon School is holding a careers fair tonight (Wednesday) from 6-8pm, with more than 60 employers, universities, colleges and apprenticeship providers taking part.

A large number of employers attend the event and many students go on to work for them as apprentices.

Former student Dan Pestell met Land and Minerals Consulting Ltd at the school in 2015 and then joined them as an apprentice.

He continues to work for them as a surveyor and draftsman and is being supported by the company to complete a degree.

He is returning to the school to talk about his experiences.

Clevedon Pier, Crossfell Consulting, DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House, Edwards Vacuums, Pace, SKF, Specsavers, Wards Solicitors and Triangle Networks will be at the event as well as several national employers.
