Excited Clevedon youngsters listened to stories in their pyjamas while their parents enjoyed an evening of festive shopping.
Pupils of Yeo Moor Primary School, in Kennaway Road, listened to tales read by their teachers.
The evening was organised by the Friends of Yeo Moor, which gave out refreshments and offered parents a chance to do some Christmas shopping.
Books were supplied by Usborne Books at Home.
Headteacher Roland Lovatt said: “Christmas has really come to our school community with this tremendous annual and popular event.
“It gives parents the chance to get some important shopping in while knowing their child is safe, enjoying themselves and engaging with books.
“I must thank the Friends of Yeo Moor, which organises this event every year.
