Clevedon children get to grips with climbing wall

A climbing wall has been built in a Clevedon primary school’s playground.
St Nicholas Chantry Primary School, in Highdale Avenue, has already made £2,000 worth of improvements to its playground.
New playground markings and play equipment have previously been put in place.
The refurbishment has proved very popular with pupils who are making the most of it during breaks.
Money raised for the upgrade has come from hosting quiz nights, discos, a Christmas fair and fun run.
Headteacher Peter Treasure-Smith said: “Our pupils have loved trying out our new climbing wall.
“We want to say thank you to the Friends of St Nics for supporting us in our efforts to make our playground even better.”
St Nicholas Chantry Primary School has recently joined the Clevedon Learning Trust alongside Mary Elton, Tickenham and Yeo Moor primary schools, and Clevedon School.
