A WEALTH of produce was donated to those in need during a school harvest festival.
Pupils at St Mary’s Primary School in Portbury were asked to take along items of food.
A special harvest service was then held at the village church, when the donations were piled up for all to see.
The generous donations have now been given to the Community of the Sisters of the Church in Bristol, which carries out pastoral care in the community. This includes delivering food parcels to those in need.
It also operates a befriending service and gives advice and support to volunteers and those in need of a listening ear.
