YOUNGSTERS swapped their yellow and grey uniforms for blue clothes to raise money for the Nailsea/Uganda water programme.

Pupils paid a small fee to wear their own clothes for the day to support the project, which has led to residents linking with the people of South West Uganda to provide them with clean and sustainable water supplies within their villages.

Reverend Gary Woodall, of Nailsea Baptist Church, explained how villagers often had to walk several miles a day carrying heavy containers of water and the schoolchildren dug deep to donate to the cause.
