Children’s author to visit Portishead Library

A well-known author will be popping by Portishead Library tomorrow (Thursday) for a school holidays treat.
Huw Powell, who penned the Spacejackers series, will be at the library in Harbour Road from 11am to noon.
He will be talking to children about the importance of reading and writing stories.
Huw will also be telling them about his new book, which is called The Pirate King.
The educational session is free to attend and it is aimed at children aged seven to 12.

A parent or carer must accompany their child, a North Somerset Council spokesman said.
Places on the session should be booked, despite being free.
