Schoolchildren at a primary in Clevedon celebrated harvest on Thursday.
Pupils at Yeo Moor Primary School brought in tins of non-perishable food for people in Uganda.
The children also carried out fundraising for a Ugandan orphanage so it can afford to get chickens and a coop.
To make it possible, the children held an assembly in the morning and played chicken-themed games.
