YOUNG foodies displayed some of their most creative skill while taking part in a national competition.
Clevedon School pupils Maddie Green and Xavier Rochat were given some expert coaching by Michelin Star chef Jim Day before creating two courses of inspiring food.
This was held as part of the FutureChef contest which gives youngsters aged 12-16 the chance to compete against each other for a national culinary title.
Xavier, a year 10 student, received high praise from the judges for his food and will now go on to compete in the national semi-finals taking place at TV chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage complex on February 11.
