TWO chefs from an award-winning Bristol restaurant passed on skills and advice to pupils at St Katherine’s School in Pill.

Head chef, Ross Marshall, and sous chef, Ian Jones, from Berwick Lodge spent the day in the school’s busy kitchens as part of its food festival. They are pictured with business developement manager Jo Maggs.

The festival has been put on at the Ham Green school for the past six years and encourages students to explore new tastes in food, where ingredients come from and new and exciting ways to cook.

Head of hospitality at the school, Paul Mingo West said: “It was an amazing experience for our students to see these two top chefs in action, using advanced culinary techniques to produce innovative, contemporary food.

“At the end of the sessions, year nine students were allowed to taste everything that was made and there was absolutely nothing left.”
