YOUNG bookworms got stuck into some exciting reads as part of National Back to Books Week.
Catherine Evans, who runs Talking Tots Books, has started holding weekly sessions at The Play Port in Old Mill Road, Portishead, to encourage language, communication and early literacy skills in children aged one to five.
For the session on November 5 and as part of the national initiative, youngsters had the chance to dress up as their favourite book characters.
Accompanied by their parents, they could also take part in a book swap. Top tips were also handed out on the best ways of reading with little ones.
