MARY Elton Primary School students enjoyed a visit from Little Orchard dog trainers after the Clevedon school acquired its own dog, Ava.
The visit included demonstrations and discussions on a range of dog-related subjects, including communication, behaviour, safety and hygiene.
Olive, a golden retriever, was also brought along to demonstrate some commands.
Cheryl Brown, year two class teacher, said: “Ava will be a valuable addition to our school to attend story times and various activities with the children.”
