COMPUTER skills badges were earned by a Nailsea Brownie pack who learned all about online safety during sessions at Nailsea School.

The two hourly lessons saw 1st Nailsea Brownies source information to write a short piece of prose on a topic of their choice, helped by technician Thom Vickers.

Also on hand was one of the school’s 13 student media ambassadors, Max, who volunteers his technical expertise and experience when required.

Emily Manning, who helps out with the pack, said: “Not only did the girls learn how to use the internet safely but visited and used the facilities at the secondary school the majority will most likely attend.”

Badge winner Charlotte, aged nine, said: “I have really liked using the computers and learning about being safe on the computer.”
