HUNDREDS of students were introduced to the world of work and further education at a Portishead careers convention.

Pupils and parents filled the aisles at Gordano School’s annual event where universities, businesses and training providers were on hand to help guide youngsters looking in to future training and career opportunities.

Gordano works with many local businesses to help students improve their employability skills through training and mentoring activities. The school also holds regular business breakfasts.
