CHILDREN from Nailsea donned brain hats as they learnt interesting facts about biology during a brain workshop.
Drs David Turk and Phil Collard from Bristol University talked to year six pupils from Golden Valley Primary School about how the organ works and the different functions it controls in the body.
The youngsters wore hats they had made, identifying each section of the brain, and took part in games including handling models of an organ so they could experience what it feels like and how much it weighs.
Students also carried out experiments to find out about memory and the speed the brain can process information.
