HUNDREDS of pounds have been raised by pupils at a Clevedon school for new reading books.
A cake sale held by children in year one at St Nicholas Chantry Primary School in Highdale Avenue resulted in £324 being collected. The previous week, reception children raised £253.
Year two pupils will run a similar cake sale on Friday and the other year groups will follow suit in the coming weeks.
All of the proceeds will be used to buy new books for the school.
