Students got their glad rags on to celebrate the end of their exams, and for some their time at secondary school.

Year 11 pupils from Backwell School, danced the night away at their prom held a DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House on June 19.

The students took the opportunity to relax after months of revision, exams and stress by partying at the plush Congresbury resort.

Shades, smart suits and stunning gowns were the order of the day as the celebrating students arrived in style.

Most of the pupils came in classic and luxury cars, but one pair of pupils made a grand entrance by travelling to the event in a lorry cab,

The hard-working teens will spend the next couple of months waiting to find out how well they did in their GCSEs.

Though many have chosen to continue their studies afterwards, and aim to take their A-level exams in two years time.
