A DOUBLE-DECKER bus visiting Gordano School in Portishead, offered to take pupils on a journey to the future.

The vehicle, organised by the City of Bristol College, was a business apprentice bus, crammed full of interactive communication tools to help inform pupils of apprenticeship opportunities open to them when they leave school.

Students from years 10 to 13 enjoyed games and competitions, as well as a short presentation, all related to future education and career paths.

Debbie Crosby, careers coordinator at Gordano, said: “With the current climate and the much-reduced job market, together with the ever increasing cost of university, it is important that young people are provided with as much information as possible. The more choices and options they can to be given to consider, the better.”
