A SERIES of plays about anti-bullying have helped raise awareness of the subject at a Portishead School.

Visiting theatre company, Firehorse Productions, worked with pupils at High Down Junior School to get the message across to youngsters about how to deal with bullies.

The visits were funded by the Friends of High Down Junior School.

Teacher Jude Wilson said: “The productions were enjoyable but had a serious message and the children now understand what to do if bullying situations arise.”

Members of the school council have been working on raising awareness of anti-bullying and will be sharing their work with pupils throughout the school year.
