Ancient Egypt comes to Backwell

THE Valley of the Kings came to a Backwell school as the youngsters learnt about the pharaohs and customs of Egypt.

Year four children from Fairfield School were treated to a visit from staff at Holburne Museum in Bath, who took along ancient artefacts including amulets and tomb treasures for the children to examine.

The youngsters then made their own Tutankhamen-style death masks to show off what they had learnt.
