BATTLING against orcs, potion-making and healing warriors were just some of the activities Nailsea students took part in at a Live Action Role Play (LARP) event.

The LARP club from Nailsea School took part in a national fantasy event with 1,500 other players in Northamptonshire.

The 11 students and three adults from Nailsea attended the Academy of Young Heroes where they learnt about magic, potion making, sword fighting, archery, field craft and a ghost hunt.

They were then able to fight orc warriors, rescue other players, heal wounded fighters and perform potions to enhance their team’s success.

The club is planning its second national event in September where members hope to build on the success of the first trip.
