TUNEFUL children from Portishead won a prize at the Grand Pier Christmas Carol Competition held in Weston.

The St Joseph’s Primary School choir entered the large choir category and eventually won, receiving a medal, glass trophy and £100 for their school. The choir is made up of 41 children from years five and six, led by Helen Page.

They competed against youngsters from schools across Somerset as part of the contest.
