Fake fur and plastic bones filled Wraxall Primary School as children learnt about life in the Stone Age.
In recent weeks, children took a trip to Bristol Museum to investigate some paleolithic tools and learn how they were used.
Pupils also visited Tesco to find out more about the diet of early man and how it differs from ours.
Children in year three and four have produced artwork, stories, drama and dance pieces on the historical theme.
Classes at the school, in Bristol Road, also enjoyed a Stone Age feast to mark the start of the new term.
