A DAY of celebration for year 11 students at Gordano School marked the end of an era for many pupils.
The party started early to celebrate the youngsters’ past five years at the Portishead school, on what was likely to be the final day they would all be together.
With everyone in fancy dress costume, staff and students formed a band to provide a morning of live entertainment. Others stoked up a barbecue and enjoyed a number of games and inflatables.
By 12.30pm the fun was over, giving the teenagers time to go home and get ready for their evening prom.
With the celebrations over, the year 11 students will return to school for GCSE exams.
