MATHEMATICAL minds will be pitted against each other during a regional contest in Pill.
St Katherine’s School will host the South West heat of the national Team Maths Challenge on April 8, which will see 25 teams competing to win a place in the national final on June 20.
The challenge is run by the UK Mathematics Trust and involves teams of four pupils aged 11-14 taking on challenges including a relay race that sees them run across the room while solving maths problems, a mathematical crossword and a head-to-head competition to be the first to answer questions correctly.
