Nailsea pupils raised the Olympic torch to celebrate the end of their sports week
LUCKY children from a Nailsea School were able to lift up a prototype of the impressive 2012 Olympic Torch, which will be carried around the country next year bearing the Olympic flame.
Stuart Beaver, a governor at Golden Valley Primary School and head of sponsorship for Lloyds TSB, took the precious prototype into lessons to finish off the school’s sport week.
Each pupil was able to hold the torch and have their photo taken with it as a memento from the day.
Lloyds TSB is sponsoring the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Olympic Torch Relay next year. Anyone can make a nomination for someone to carry the Olympic flame at www.lloydstsb.com/carrytheflame
