A COLOURFUL mural has been created at a Backwell school.
Artist Damien Jeffries worked with children at Fairfield School to come up with a design for the artwork, which has been painted in a stairwell and saw each child given the chance to paint a part of it.
In a series of workshops, children from nursery age up to age 11 were asked for ideas and designs for the mural, which features famous Bristol landmarks including Clifton Suspension Bridge, ss Great Britain, the Matthew ship and Concorde. Events including the balloon fiesta and kite festival have also been incorporated into the design.
