CHILDREN in Nailsea have been given new jackets to keep them safe on school trips.
Pupils from Golden Valley Primary School were presented with 120 high visibility jackets by the Police Community Trust at Avon and Somerset Constabulary.
PCSO Charlotte Thompson said: “We work closely with local schools and are told that the children often go out on trips in Nailsea, such as woodland walks or to other schools and events on the high street.
“Not only will the high visibility jackets make the children more visible to drivers, they will also help the teachers to keep track of them.”
