MEXICAN Independence Day was celebrated by pupils at Clevedon School as they took part in a piñata competition.
Members of the school’s four houses took it in turns to try to hit the suspended containers before they smashed and spilled sweets on to the floor.
In the end, Walton House was crowned the overall winner.
