Children made identity cards, wrote postcards with dip pens and ink and baked rock cakes as they learnt what life was like for evacuees in Nailsea during the war.
Pupils from Golden Valley Primary School experienced life in war time at an evacuee experience in the Tithe Barn.
The youngsters dressed up as evacuees, found out which areas of the town were bombed and looked at equipment including gas masks, weapons and uniforms.
Schools can book for an evacuee experience at the venue. To book call the Tithe Barn office on 01275 855277.
