A PCSO has attended a primary school in Clevedon to teach its pupils about road safety.
Youngsters in owl base at St John’s Primary School in Fosseway welcomed PCSO Caroline Harris who helped them to understand what to look out for when crossing a road.
The pupils also discovered how wearing reflective clothing can help increase safety when it is dark, why it is safer to hold hands when crossing a road and talked about how cars should park safely.
A model road, complete with a traffic light-controlled crossing, allowed the children to practise what they had learned in the safe surroundings of a classroom.
