Portishead’s Gordano School held a bake-off competition before term finished to see which pupils are the best at cooking.
About 20 year nine students took part and their efforts were judged, not by Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, but by teachers and Aldi employees.
The day comprised of a technical challenge in the morning, where students were asked to make a calzone bread and ice cream, followed by a celebration cake in the afternoon.
The judges awarded first place to Molly, Jodie, Emily and Lainey for their masterpiece cake.
