Chinese New Year was celebrated by children in Portishead this week.
Saturday saw the year of the rooster begin, but in advance of those celebrations, youngsters at The Nursery got a taste of the oriental lifestyle.
Noodles were a firm favourite on the menu as children engaged in activities to mark Chinese New Year. They were also fascinated by Chinese symbols and had fun re-creating them in their art sessions.
Nursery owner Jackie Hardie said: “Children love to learn about new things and the Chinese New Year provides an ideal opportunity to explore a different culture while having lots of fun.”
