Clevedon primary school pupils are celebrating after reading hundreds of books during the summer.
Children at Mary Elton Primary School, in Holland Road, have been taking part in North Somerset Council’s summer reading challenge, which encouraged youngsters aged four to 11 with reading six library books during the summer holiday.
This year’s theme was Animal Agents, based around a team of detectives, which saw children collect stickers to crack the mystery’s clues.
Now the successful students have been rewarded with a certificate and medal to mark their impressive achievements.
Headteacher Dean Hudd said: “We are so proud of all our pupils.
“Reading is a wonderful activity for all children and our pupils have been excelling themselves.”
Earlier this year, Mary Elton Primary School became part of the Clevedon Learning Trust.
