Food festival organisers have confirmed dates for their events next year.

Both eat:Portishead and eat:Nailsea will be held in 2020.

Portishead's festival had to be cancelled due to bad weather this summer, but the inaugural event in Nailsea was a big success this year.

More than 15,000 people flocked to it, prompting co-organiser Sarah Miler Simonds to say plans for a return would begin earnestly.

She said: "We have never had such a positive and warm welcome to a new town - local businesses and residents have all been so keen to engage."

The food festival in Portishead will be held by the marina on August 8, with eat:Nailsea confirmed for October 10 - a week later than initially planned.

A festive food event will be held in Portishead on December 14, at the marina, from 10am-4pm.

Weston's Winter Gardens will host a similar event indoors the following day.
