CHILDREN will be preparing to race against their peers in a donkey derby in Backwell on June 20.
The event is being organised by 1st Backwell Scouts Group from 12.30-3.30pm at Backwell Lake.
Spectators can cheer on the youngsters in eight races before enjoying a barbecue lunch and visiting the many stalls.
There will also be a classic and vintage vehicle display a decorated cake competition and a raffle.
Parking is �2 per car and includes all passengers or 50p for adult pedestrians and unaccompanied children.
