MORE than 100 bags of unwanted items have been given to charity following a Donate It Day in Clevedon.
Held at The Barn in Great Western Road, the event was put on to collect clothes, toys and equipment to be sold in shops run by Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), including those in Portishead and Nailsea.
The charity owns Charlton Farm in Wraxall where it supports children with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses and their families.
CHSW retail stock generator Jane Smith said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to all the staff and volunteers at The Barn as well as everyone who donated items for making the Donate It Day such a success.
“We had a great variety of good quality items donated so if you’re looking for a bargain head down to one of our local shops soon.”
